Cree LED Announces Joe Clark as New President

DURHAM, NC – August 16, 2022 –– Cree LED, an SGH company (Nasdaq: SGH), announced today the appointment of Joe Clark, to President of Cree LED.  Joe most recently served as Vice President of Global Operations and has led worldwide LED operations – including strategy, operations and engineering. Joe joined Cree LED in 1998 and has held a variety of roles in engineering, research & development, product line management and operations. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University. His core knowledge and unprecedented expertise of both Cree LED’s products and business, combined with his vast leadership experience, provides the continued path to success of SGH’s LED Solutions business.

As Joe assumes his new role, Mark Adams, CEO, SGH announced the retirement of Claude Demby and thanked him for his outstanding guidance, which has been instrumental in establishing Cree LED as an industry leader. During his transition to retirement, Claude will continue to support the business as an advisor to the team. Claude will serve in his role through September 2, 2022. We wish Claude all the best in his retirement and congratulate Joe on his new role in leading Cree LED.
